How Often Should I Be Training w/ My Young Shed Dog?

Question: I have purchased the shed dummy and scent a while ago and am very impressed. Love it and surprised to find how even a 4month old naturally uses her nose. However I have a couple of questions. 1. I have a full time job as my wife and a 2 y.o as well. If I train a couple times a week or even on weekends is that to little of time? Second question, is working with my pup when she is tired ok? She seems not as excited but still does the task. Am I ruining the fun? Thank you if you are able to respond I appreciate your time sir.

Thanks for the message and support. I think one thing to keep in mind is that your pup is only 4 months old. Be patient and enjoy the process. That being said, at 4 months old, it's a lot like that 2 year old of yours. The mental and physical maturity is limited at best. I like to look at raising a pup like raising a kid. I don't set aside a few minutes every evening or a half a day on the weekend to be a dad. Instead, I make a point of being a parent all the time and build in opportunities for the kids to learn in any situation possible. What I'm trying to say it, they are always learning so we need to always be training. Be creative and patient and enjoy each step of the way.
