Do We Train With an E Collar?

Question: Do you have a puppy thru 2 year process for training without an e collar?
The more I learn, the more I want to eliminate the e collar... not against its use, I believe it's just not for me.

Answer: I don't use e collars ever. All of my training is without the use of collar. I use pressure and praise accordingly and when needed. I don't like to think I have a specific process or program, instead I train based on the dogs needs and their pace of progress. I think there a few things that we've put out there that would give you good idea of the general thought process. We have a series of videos that are somewhat sequential and linked. 1. Puppy Video. 2. Foundation Video. Both are found on our website. We also have several series that we have available on Youtube and in our free training library on our website that show the training of specific dogs from 8 weeks to 2+ years old and into their first hunting season. Ill share a few links below.

One of our goals with posting as much training content as we do is to show dog owners that there is another way to train dogs without the use of e collars. Not right or wrong, but it's how we do it and find success.
